PORT GUIDE
Port of Messolonghi
Essential information for approaching, berthing and using the harbour.
APPROACH
Entering the harbour
The port is reached through the Messolonghi entrance channel. Visiting vessels should remain within the marked channel and proceed with caution until reaching the harbour basin.
Contact the Port Authority on VHF Channel 14 if assistance or berthing instructions are required.
BERTHING
Alongside berthing only
Visiting yachts should berth alongside the quay. Anchoring within the harbour basin is prohibited.
The harbour basin has a soft, muddy seabed and does not provide reliable anchor holding.
Berthing alongside the eastern floating pontoon, located in front of the Port Authority building, is currently prohibited because the pontoon is scheduled to be relocated.
